From August 12, 2026, a new European regulation comes into force: the PPWR, for Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. Concretely, it's the new European framework that imposes strict rules on the design, composition and recyclability of packaging sold in the European Union. No more unnecessary plastic, over-packaging and non-recyclable materials. Each package placed on the market must now meet specific eco-design criteria.
